TweetLisa Gene and Eric wonder what can, will and should be done around infrastructure needs and how the heck to pay for them AND create a dynamic city our kids can live and work in.
Podcast (lge): Play in new window
One has to wonder at what point the stick that is severly bent ……will suddenly snap.
I see Victoria city shutting down a shoe shine stand and giving a parking ticket to a hard working man unloading heavy concrete blocks in front of his worksite….just because he is parked facing the wrong way.
I see new police cars on steroids with new lights, new heavy battering ram front ends, new paint jobs, new logos.
I see street people on a revolving door basis being arrested over and over again.
I see a fancy new bridge being built simply for the wow factor instead of being built just for need.
I see our local governments talk about going ahead with billion dollar sewage projects simply because we can get our hands on federal money….. as if that money didn’t come out of our pockets in the first place.
We need a new approach to running our city.
One day the stick will snap.
